Important battery and WEEE information

Batteries and electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin may not be disposed as unsorted municipal waste. Batteries and waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) shall be treated separately using the collection centers available to POS owners for the return recycling and treatment of batteries and WEEE. When possible remove and isolate the batteries from WEEE, prior to placing WEEE in the waste collection stream. Batteries that are collected can be recycled at the collection centers or can contact your sales representative for further information.

Do’s

• Follow the instructions for proper handling of end-of-life equipment.
• Make sure that your electronic products are recycled only by authorized recyclers/ dismantlers.
• Tape the contacts of battery before shipping for recycling.

Dont’s

• Do not dismantle your electronic products yourself
• Don’t mix electronic and electrical product with your normal household waste.
• Don’t sell or give e-waste to informal and unorganized sectors like local scrap dealer/ rag pickers.

Consumer Recycling Program

POS Consumers have various options to avail this service. Either consumer can call on toll free number, write to us an email, or can find the nearest collection center to drop off e-waste for environmentally sound recycling.
